Every September, Palma changes its pace. Galleries open their doors, cultural spaces extend their opening hours and the streets of the city centre become, for a few hours, a meeting point for artists, visitors and art lovers. This year, Nit de l’Art also celebrates its 30th anniversary, once again making it one of the major cultural highlights of Mallorca’s calendar.

The 2026 edition will take place on 19 September, from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm, with events and activities spread across different galleries, museums and cultural institutions throughout Palma.

 

What is Nit de l’Art?

Nit de l’Art was born in Palma in 1997, when several galleries decided to open their doors to the public simultaneously. Three decades later, this initiative has become an unmissable event for discovering contemporary art in Mallorca.

This year’s edition will feature more than 50 exhibitions and over 100 artists, as well as free guided tours, meetings with artists, performances and a variety of cultural activities.

 

Palma becomes an open-air gallery

One of the best things about Nit de l’Art is that it is not centred around a single venue.

The city invites you to walk from one gallery to another, step into spaces that might otherwise go unnoticed and discover different ways of experiencing contemporary art.

 

Art, music and the city

Nit de l’Art is not limited to exhibitions. Throughout the afternoon and evening, there will also be artistic performances, music and opportunities to meet artists.

For example, COEN Gallery will host a multidisciplinary event featuring artists, live painting, music and floral art from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
